Bad Brain Call (2012)
Bad Brain Call is a new album of pop songs written by Annabel Frearson using only words from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1831), set to original music by Joe Howe.
Bad Brain Call is part of the ongoing project Frankenstein2; or the Monster of Main Stream, a new novel and associated works created using all and only the words from Shelley's Frankenstein.
Bad Brain Call references a cross-section of pop genres, and includes reworkings of songs by David Bowie and Lady Gaga (having first removed any words that do not also occur in Frankenstein).
Joe Howe (Glasgow) is a young composer and sound designer, working under a series of aliases, including Ben Butler & Mousepad, Germlin, Gay Against You. He's produced five albums in the last five years on various EU and US labels.
